Special experience: Explore seven underground halls of Mayor's Cave!

Mayor's Cave - or Županova jama - is located near Grosuplje, 25 kilometers from Ljubljana. A guided tour takes you through seven halls, where you can learn about various karst phenomena and experience the mysterious underground up close.

An additional attraction are the cave inhabitants - the cave is "home" to a colony of lesser horseshoe bats, and with a bit of luck you will also spot cave locusts, sand crabs and various cave beetles during your exploration.

The paths in the cave are paved and protected by a fence, and the temperature inside is a constant 10 degrees Celsius. Usually, we also come across some mud and a puddle during our visit, so we recommend appropriate clothing and quality hiking shoes.

And one more important thing: we guarantee that you will not "fall" into the tourist crowd in Mayor's Cave, and your guide will always take the time to answer your questions!
