Opis delavnice:

Kako narišemo lik? Na delavnici bomo raziskovali strategije risanja, ki vključujejo intuicijo, spomin in domišljijo. Začeli bomo s preučevanjem lika kot samostojne, izolirane figure, ga postavili v odnos z drugimi liki in tako ustvarili prizores sporočilom, naj bo ta očiten ali subtilen, humoren, poetičen, političen, simbolen itd.

Pogovarjali se bomo tudi o svobodnejšem, bolj nezavednem risanju, o vlogi naključja in o eksperimentiranju, ki ga omogočajo skicirke. Kot protiutež in dopolnilo bomo obravnavali pomen premišljenega analiziranja podob, saj nam ta pristop nudi uporabna orodja za gradnjo ilustracij in učinkovito komunikacijo sporočil. Delali bomo z izraznimi možnostmi črno-bele tehnike — z njeno močjo in preprostostjo — preden se bomo podali v svet barv.

Kitajsko črnilo, čopiči, barve na vodni osnovi (akvarel ali gvaš), papir, skicirka, škarje, lepilo.

Jesús Cisneros: Characters on Stage

Description

How do you draw a character? In this workshop we will explore strategies that involve intuition, memory, and imagination. We'll begin by studying a character as an independent, isolated figure, and then place it in relation to others to create scenes that convey meaning—whether that meaning is obvious or subtle, humorous, poetic, political, symbolic, etc.

We'll also discuss the exploration of freer, more unconscious drawing, the role of chance, and the experimentation made possible through sketchbooks. As a point of contrast and balance, we'll consider the importance of thoughtful analysis when interpreting images, which provides us with useful tools to build illustrations and communicate messages. We'll work with the expressive possibilities of black and white—their strength and simplicity—before moving on to color.

Materials
Chinese ink, brushes, water-based paint (watercolor or gouache), paper, sketchbook scissors, glue.
