SONICA 2026: Celestial Shelters

The electronic music and transitory art festival SONICA announces its 18th edition, taking place at various locations across Ljubljana from November 5 to 14.

This year’s festival will feature 15 musicians, producers, DJs and artists, presenting five events with distinct aesthetic focuses and artistic directions. Alongside established venues such as Kino Šiška, which will host the festival’s main night, and +MSUM, where we are preparing a special exhibition, this year we are also returning to sacred spaces. On Friday, November 6, two singular sound artists will perform at the monumental Trnovo Church.

SONICA returns to its roots with a closing club night at Channel Zero. The commissioned work created by this year’s SONICA 2026 resident artists will premiere at the Museum of Transitory Art – MoTA. The full programme will be revealed on September 8!
